Looking for upgrade to fvs338

I have an fvs338 that is fantastic, but my provider is offering speeds faster than the LAN-WAN rating of the FVS338. I don't have any need for Wi-Fi. Can anyone suggest a good upgrade from the FVS338 with a fast LAN-WAN speed of over 100Mbps. I need at least 8 ports.

thanks,

Todd

    Hi Rubatoguy,

You are correct that the FVS318v2 is already End-Of-Life.  However, I am referring to FVS318Gv2.  Kindly double-check my previous response unto you. :smileyhappy:

    Hi Rubatoguy,

You may want to check the FVS318Gv2 (v for version).  The FVS318Gv2 has 8 Gigabit LAN ports and 1 Gigabit WAN port.  It supports a LAN-to-WAN throughput of 250Mbps which means that if you are subscribed to an internet connection of higher than 100Mbps but not more than 250Mbps then, the FVS318Gv2 would fit to your network setup as your main firewall router.  The FVS318Gv2 does not have wireless functionality.

Kindly check theses links below to know more about FVS318Gv2:

I originally upgraded from an FVS318 to the FVS338 for reasons I can't recall at the moment, but I will take a look at that solution. It seems odd though, that a higher number router (338) would have a lesser feature set.

But the FVS318V2 is listed as an END OF LIFE product. Why would you buy a product that is END OF LIFE?

That does not sound like a wise purchase.
