looking for instructions on upgrade for sabnzbd
Hi,
I have readyNAS 104 running firmware 6.7.4. I have had for quite a while and I am looking to upgrade some software. I have SABNZBD version 0.7.13 running on it. Under the download button in the top/left corner there is a link labeled Update available. when I click on the link it takes me to the GitHub.com website download page. There a number of links on it to download SABNZBD version 1.0.3.
The question I have is, are there any instructions anywhere to guide me. I am not very familiar with the OS of the readynas and come from an IBM/AS400 background. However I can follow instructions.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Fred

Hello FNoorda,
Under the Admin page "Apps" it does have 2 tabs Installed Apps and Available Apps. Under Available Apps you may search for the latest version of the app you are trying to upgrade and then install it. You also have an option to manually upload the app on the upper right hand there is an "Upload" button and you may download the available app here.
NOTE: NETGEAR does not warrant any third-party app.
Welcome to the community!

Hi Marty,
Thanks for giving your time on this, but that would have been too easy I guess the app once was available, but no longer is, thru the "available app" page. But in true style as soon as you ask a stupid question you find the answer on the developers page and after handing over a few euro's i now have an updated version that i can upload.
one more question if i may. when i upload this version do you think it will update the existing version or will it appear as another app to to load?
Thanks again. :-)

It should update the current installation.
On most ReadyNAS apps, you will run into trouble if you use the inbuilt update function of the app, as that was designed for a more generic Linux system. To avoid filling up the NAS OS partition, ReadyNAS apps install outside of that space, but the standard one probably does not.
