Hi,I have a Netgear FVS318G. It is behind a Comcast router set in bridge mode.I can not access Port 143 for IMAP, for email.I have the port open on the firewall. I can not telnet into that port from outside my network. Internally I can access the port.Other ports that I have opened on my firewall are working.Any ideas?

Rules are processed top down. Check software firewall.

Are you suggesting that I move my port 143 rule to the top of the list?I do not have any software firewall on the mail server.

If you only have 1 IMAP Rule it does not matter. Default gateway correct on the server?

I only have the one IMAP rule.
The gateway on the server is correct.

I have a POP3 rule that works.

Is their a limit to how many firewall rules you can have?

Should easily handle 15-20 rules
I don't remember if this model has telnet feature but make sure disable it if it does

Are you using the pre-defined IMAP Service or did you create a custom one?

I am using the predefined IMAP rule.

I have 15 active rules.
