Yes the Rax9 is set up in AP mode as was the R7000 although it was also set up as router mode with no difference.
The cable from the laptop was connected to the Rax9's LAN port.
No the SRX5308 is not configured to block MAC addresses.

Are the wifi devices getting an IP?
If they are,
- Can a device connected to wifi ping the SRX5308?
- Similarly, can it ping the laptop connected to the LAN port?
