When creating a second VLAN, unless using the DMZ, it should have internet access by default if the other VLANs do. Do you have an outbound rule for the 2nd VLAN that blocks everything?

My default outbound rule is to allow all traffic. Is there a log on the SRX to see if it is dropping packets?

Yes, there is. Kindly read pages 362-366 of the SRX5308 reference manual here.

Ok, nothing showing in the log and still no access for 2nd VLAN.

Kindly answer the questions below:
a. What is the current firmware version of the SRX5308?
b. Have you double-checked the physical connections?
c. Have you tried to reset the SRX5308 back to factory default settings then reconfigure it from scratch?
