SRX5308 slow IPSec

Hi,

I've searched the forums and haven't found any solution to my problem. When I use IPSec tunnel with the SRX5308 I have very long response times, it feels like it takes forever to establish the connection, but the speed is great when the connection is "alive" (I get about 40Mbps which is the full speed on the internet connection).

I use firmware 4.3.0-19. My lan is on 192.168.23.x and the vpn is configured as in the attached printscreens. I use the default vpn-client on Mac OSX and the client is configured as Cisco IPSec (as described in a thread in this forum).

Any ideas?

what speed you do get in the tunnel

According to speedtest.net I get 40Mbps and 48ms response time, the problem isn't the speed, the problem is the time it takes to establish the connection. The problem does only appear with IPSec, I tried pptp and that works fine.
  • I would try ipsecuritas instead of native osx vpn client just for the time to take the duration.

not sure you are pressing on 10sec to 60sec.....
