Audi Q4 can't see or connect to WAC540
I have a WAC540 running latest firmware 9.9.5.1
I have a lot of devices connecting to it just fine. Very reliable.
My new Audi Q4 eTron will not see the broadcast SSID when it scans for hotspots. There is definitely wifi signal in the car location. The car can see and join other networks. For example, I connected it to a network at another location which is using a TPLink AP. I can also connect it to my iPhone hotspot
When I drive around with the list of SSIDs showing it picks up many. The receiver appears to be very sensitive.
I've set the SSID to
- WPA3 Personal mixed
- 2.4/5GHz
- Fast roaming is on with 802.11r and 802.11k/v
As you might imagine this is very frustrating.

A couple things.
1. set it to wpa2/wpa3. some devices have issues with just wpa3
2. get the car connected and then updated. Driver/software updates can sometimes fix the issue. Intel had issues with wpa3 that were fixed with updates. Maybe audi has one
I should have been clearer.
SSID is set to `WPA3 Personal Mixed (WPA2 + WPA3)`
The car is brand new and connected to it's only cellular network so I believe it is up to date
Then try setting it to wpa2 only mode.
Also 'believing" something is updated isn't always a good option/decision. the number I've been told "I'm on the latest" and the user wasn't, is not a small amount. And some cars will only update over wifi. So try investing the time to ensure its updated. And not just the car saying its updated but check the version its on versus what is published for it.
You might also check on the Audi forums because if the audio isn't seeing the ssid when everything else does, its something internal to the audi
