    Kindly follow the instructions below:   

     

    1. Configure the QoS policy that will be applied to the SSID.

     

    In the web-GUI, navigate to Configuration > Wireless > Advanced > QoS Policies.  A policy must be defined per radio i.e. 2.4GHz (802.11 bg/ng/bgn) and 5GHz (802.11 a/a-na-ac)

     

    Create Policy > select NEW

    Policy Name > enter a name (maybe match the name of the SSID)

     

    You can leave Match Frame Fields, Match Classifications and Apply Classification as default.

     

    In Classification Rate Limiting;

    Set Basic Rate to 100000

    Set Burst Rate to 204800000

     

    Click Add. An entry will appear in the Classification window.

     

     

    2. Apply the Policy to an SSID.

     

    Navigate to Configuration > Security. Select an SSID to apply the policy to.

    Scroll down to QoS Policies

    Put a tick in Mode check box.

    In Policy Details select the previously created policy from the drop down list.

    In Bandwidth Limit (bits per second), enter the speed the SSID is to be limited at (i.e. for 10Mbps enter 10000000)

    Policy Details and Bandwidth Limit should be applied for both Incoming and Outgoing

     

     

    Click Apply.

     

    Repeat the steps per SSID. If a 2.4GHZ and 5Ghz SSID will be assigned to each unit/customer then a separate policy must be created for 5Ghz and applied to the 5Ghz SSID.

     

    Any client connecting to the SSID will be limited to 10Mbps. We have tested multiple types of traffic to ensure the rate limit is accurate. Using an online speed test should confirm the speed the wireless client is receiving.
