esaym. AMPDU is enabled. I spent a lot of $ on this WAP specificly for speed its supposed to give. Its kind of pointless to use it in a nuetered mode when 802.11g devices are so inexpensive.

I totally understand. Disabling AMPDU is not the final solution I want or will accept. But it does get one up and running. I don't know what your symptoms were, but at least for me, I only had issues when mobile phones where connected to the AP. I had all mobile phones connect to the 2ghz radios in which I disabled AMPDU, and forced 20mhz channel width. Everything else was left at default. For 5ghz, I have all other non-mobile devices, laptops, desktops etc, connected to 5ghz where AMPDU is enabled. Everything else is default except I forced 20hmz channel width for 5ghz as well (I find that 40mhz channels enabled puts random lag sometimes).
But yes, I bought the 660 because I only needed something faster than 802.11g and wanted something that had been out for a few years and thus would be stable and bug free. Sadly not what I got since complaints against these APs for the same issues go back for 3 years and they are still unfixed. Sadly there isn't really any other APs that are purely standalone. There is the Ubiquiti stuff but they all require a separate controller to be configured or you have to install an app on your phone which is not what I want.

I totally agree. I have yet to notice anything that is causing the failure such as a phone or other device. All my machines and video devices are wired up for speed so its basicly its web traffic causing the problem.

I installed it but it can take a month before I know if it works.
Here's another thread on this subject

So far it hasn't hung up but its unsuablly slow. The propgress bar on FireFox (Samsung tablet) get to the place where it used to hang and pauses. Then 75% of the way and pauses. An Amozon product page takes forever to open. Unusable.

Well now it looks like I spoke too soon. The WAP had been slowing down and now its hung up. I'm done with this POS.

And it just hung up again. The fix made it worse. I took it down. Terrible device.

I'm sorry too. I'm only going to try one more thing, a factor reset and reconfig. If it hangs again its going on eBay.
