using r7500v2 and wax610 and confine guest to wax610

I have a Nighthawk R7500v2 on the 3rd floor and need to provide wifi to 1st floor. I ran ethernet down and connected to a WAX610 access point to provide a separate wifi SSID.  That part works fine.

What I would like is to have access to the 3rd floor SSID on the first floor and provide guest wifi to the 1st floor as well.  I was told that the WAX610 would bridge/extend my 3rd floor SSID to the 1st floor, but not finding the ability to do that on the 610.

Is there something on Nighthawk that will make that work via the ethernet connection?  or a settings change on the 610?

Just configure the WAX610 to the same SSID (wireless name) and WPA2-PSK personal key.

As there is no dedicated Guest network - your consumer router does just offer an isolated wireless, no VLAN or a dedicated physical LAN - you can't bring the guest network easily to the WAX610.
