What password? Probably the admin login password, required to access the WAC104 Web UI.

Have used the network name published, and the network key or preshared password as defined by default? Keep in mind there are different "passwords".

I then used my personal laptop to connect to the WAC104 using the ethernet cable. This worked and enabled me to get to the setup page. I checked to see if there was a firmware update available but there wasn't.
An Access Point requires a network (Ethernet) LAN connection to the local network, connecting to the router typically. There is a DHCP server, which in general is able to assign a free IP address from that LAN DHCP server. Just a connection smartphone<->WAC104<->notebook does not make a fully workable network. It should be for example smartphone<->WAC104<->Router LAN POrt.

I also tried connecting my work laptop (which doesn't have an ethernet cable port) via the wifi and it is saying 'no internet
secured'.
Lack of any router and Internet connection one would guess.

Thanks for the help, I realised that the when the ethernet cable was plugged in to LAN1 the green light wasn't showing, I moved it to LAN4 and the green light is on and it now works.
