WAC124 freezes up and requires reboot
Hello All,
I have a WAC124 access point which has worked perfectly for over a year.
Suddenly the AP stops working and both wired and wireless connections drop. The only fix is to reboot it.
I am running latest firmware 1.0.4.8 which I upgraded to after the issue first started, hoping it would fix the problem. However, it has happened again.
Before upgrade: All wifi connections dropped and AP became isolated. all leds in the router will be solid green. not able to access the router via routerlogin.net, is completedly down. reboot fixes it.
After upgrade: Same issues as before the upgrade, with the difference that this time only the power led is solid green, the rest go completely dark and they dont blink at all.
Cannot access routerlogin.net, cant connect to WIFI or Wired connection. I created a 2nd wifi network to test if it was an issue with the first one, but all wifi networks go down.
I have checked all settings and they are pretty much standard. The router worked perfectly for over a year without a single reboot required. I am tempted to to a factory reset to see if that fixes the issue. is really awkward.
Nothing has changed from my side. Same ETH Cable, same internet provider, same wifi router connected to the AP.
Wondering if anyone has experienced this?
thanks!.
AJ.

forgot to add.
The logs show the typical 'connection dissassociated' and 'associated' messages, nothing else.

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
The WAC124 is a.sightly freaky "WirelessAccessPoint/Router". (Are you using it as an AP or a router?)
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:Business Wireless - NETGEAR Communities
That's where most of the discussion about this device happens.
Or there is also here:
WiFi Range Extenders & Nighthawk Mesh - NETGEAR Communities
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
