WAC510 Installing multiple units
I am planning to purchase three WAC510 APs to cover the entire home with the same SSID. I have read this post (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Business-Wireless/WAC510-Installing-multiple-units/m-p/...
With an access point deployment on wired Ethernet you can forget everything what is documented as WiFi Bridge, Repeater, Base Station. You configure the same network name (SSID) on all access points, configure dedicated channels (1/6/11 or 1/7/13 on 2.4 GHz - these are all overlapping kind of, and random free unused channels on the 5 GHz radios). Most of the access point selection is done by the wireless client station, there are just a few things the access points can assist - so enable 802.11K (RRM) and Band Steering, too.
If you have a very dense area where multiple access points are covering the same or similar space, you can consider to enable the load balancing feature, too.
Worth mentioning, the Insight configuration and management can be used without an Insight switch. Some features like radio optimisation might not be available on the free Insight App mode.

many thanks for your reply. I still have some queries.
1. If I connect the three WAC510s with a single unmanaged PoE switch by LAN cables and same SSID will be used for all of the WAC510. Do I need to define them as "base station" and "repeater"? Or all of them should be "base station"? For some areas which the wifi signal may be covered by more than one WAC510, can the wireless device automatically switch to connect to the AP with the strongest signal at a particular location.
2. I agree that it will be the simplest way to install multiple WAC510 with an insight managed smart cloud switch (like GC5510P / PP).
