Dear ppl, This WAC540 AccessPoint is powered by a Netgear GS116PP PoE/PoE+ switch, which is powered by a 200 Watt adapter, giving this Switch a total PoE budget of 183 Watt. The WAC540 is the o...

Hi
Short answer: no, no solution yet.
I realised I never registered the AP and so I did and noticed the device was still under warranty. I opened a support case with the Netgear Support and talked to someone over the phone and - after a few questions - he suggested to swap the AP for a new sample.
I received the new sample and upon installing and setup I had high hopes as it was WAY more responsive compared to the old one. I sometimes needed 3 attempts to setup the old AP as it wouldn’t accept my inputs (you know the Day Zero Easy Setup with Country, DHCP enable/disable, password to access the AP, SSID etcetera).
Setting up the new AP was a breeze (like the old one used to be) but the reboots are still there. They are more rare but still do happen a few times per day, whereas the old AP sometimes rebooted every 10 minutes.
The new AP is running f/w V8.0.0.36 btw and I havent updated it.
I just started running a syslog server to capture the reboot events to see whether the cause is still the same. Later I will open a new support case.

Btw: kudos to the Netgear support team. On Monday I delivered the old AP to a local UPS service point and I received the new AP on Thursday 👍👍

Update: (I think) I found the cause of the constant rebooting AccessPoint: interference with our WATTS heating system which is RF controlled operating at 868 MHz.
Every room in our condo has its own wireless thermostat and underfloor heating circuit, all are controlled by a central command unit communicating wirelessly with thermostats and valves in the heating system.
During the summer I had the heating system switched off (duh) but since a few weeks I switched it back on again and by that time - in retrospect - the reboots of my AP started. As a test I switched off the heating system again for 2 days and in that period no AP reboots happened. And after I switched on the heating system again the AP started rebooting every now and then again.I received a new AccessPoint (WAC540) from Netgear Support but the problems persisted.I moved the AP as far as I could from the thermostats, central command unit, valves etc. but although it took a while, finally the AP started rebooting often again.I re-routed the ethernet cables that where close to the heating system RF parts (thinking EMI might be the cause) but the reboots still happened. Less often but still too often for my taste (multiple reboots per day). Then I decided to swap out my PoE Switch (Netgear GS116PP) for something else. I ordered a Power Injector and used it together with my old Netgear GS108Tv2.Guess what: the AP hasn’t rebooted for 5 days now. The AP is hanging on its original spot, close to the heating's central command unit, the cabling is routed again like it was when I initially installed the network.I guess the PoE Switch GS116PP was the problem. I am going to ask a replacement from Netgear and see if a second sample achieves better results.Edwin
