Making a simple http session between clients false, setup set for No ssid and No client isolation. Works for other types of wifi setup, like android hot spots.

- olerjAspirantThe failure is connection timeout indicating isolation is in effect.

Probably it is? Two of the three wireless networks (SSIDs) can be configured for client isolation.
RT*M p.72 ff https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WAX204/WAX204_UM_EN.pdf ?
What does mean configured for "no SSID"?

Hardware-version WAX204
Firmware-version V1.0.2.4
No SSID and no Client isolation should be No SSID isolation and no Client isolation.
I have tested on all 3 wireless settings supported by was204.
I use SSID isolation deactivated.
Here are my settigs for wireless 3:
wireless network active
SSID NETGEAR51E218-3
Client isolation deactivated
Here a a little more details about the http setup.
One of my wifi clients runs windows and ion this platform I run the vpn http-server.
vpn http-server is a fairly simple http server available on most platforms.
Another wifi client is an android phone where I access the vpn http-server using a Chrome browser.
Both clients run on wax204 wireless 3 network.
Here I observer that the browser connection fails with a timeout.
If I make the same senario using a android hot-spot wireless network I have no problems getting the clients connected.
This make me conclude that some kind of isolation is still in effect on wax204 dispite the fact that I have turned it off.
