WAX206 seamless roaming
I have 2xWAX206. They are both connected to the same 2.5Gb switch so I'm utilising the 2.5Gb ports on them. I'm trying to identify the ideal settings to enable seamless roaming (if supported) as...
On the Essential WiFi AP like all WAX2xx models, deploy the same SSID, the same wireless key (wireless password) and use only WPA2-PSK. Yes, this might require dropping the Wi-Fi config of your wireless clients and re-configuring the WiFi settings.
For WPA3-SAE (or WPA3-Personal how Netgear is naming it), you don't need a wireless Mesh-system - just APs supporting seamless roaming support (typically using a cloud infrastructure) like the WAX6xx with Insight Management.
Thanks that's how I have it setup.
I debugged my issue to one of the APs 5GHz band.
When the AP gets a lot of network load (and that happens on 5GHz band) it hangs and needs reboot.
So I have disabled 5GHz on that AP for now till I replace it with another one...
