For support, warranty, regulatory and legal reasons it is perfectly sufficient if Netgear is providing just the power supply designation like PAV12V, for Europe it's the PAV12V-100EUS SKU. 

If a customer is wrecking his access point or whatever device by using wrong specs, like 24V DC, whatever AC voltage, ... or the house is burning down it's off the vendor's control and resposibility.
