WAX610(Y) manual firmware upgrade - new version not found?
Hi!
I have three WAX610 and a WAX610Y, all with firmware V9.6.3.2.
Now there is a new firmware version 10.2.0.16 available and I tried to install that manually.
I enter the IP address of the AP, log in, go to Maintenance -> Upgrade -> Firmware Upgrade and click on Check for Upgrades.
But nothing is found.... strange!
Workaround:
Then I go to the Netgear website where I can manually download the Firmware version 10.2.0.16 as a ZIP file. The ZIP contains another packed archive with .tar ending. This archive then contains the img and md5sum files. Selecting the Image does not work, although I understood this is the file to upload.
Anyway, I tried selecting the tar file. This works.
Still it is strange the AP can't find it by "Check for upgrades"

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge. The WAX610 is nothing like a router. It is one of the Insight Managed WiFi 6AX1800 Wireless Access Points
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
