All 8 WAX610 show as disconnected
I am in the process of setting up our new Insight controlled WiFi environment using 8 WAX610's. We are replacing a Cisco WAP561 cluster that is showing it's age. Everything seemed to be going fine un...

Hello JeraldM - I had already updated all 8 to 10.3.0.7 before even setting up any SSID's. I just got off of the phone with support and the case has been escalated. The AP works fine if I wipe it and run it solo, but picks up it's old config when added to Insight and returns to it's same behavior.
I'll keep the thread updated but I wouldn't be surprised if there is soon a 10.3.0.8 🙂

Just an update - I still haven't heard back from support but I have figured out a workaround. If I remove an AP from Insight, factory reset it, start it in solo mode, change it to Insight managed, and add it to a DIFFERENT location with a different name it connects normally.

I have just closed the case, as the workaround I found is working fine. The support team may end up finding the cause but as I can move forward without it that's what I plan to do. Thanks to the group for the assistance.

I have 2x WAX610's that also similarly both refused to connect following the adding of an SSID in Insight. I tried removing devices from Insight and factory reset them like 10x each without success. I wish to re-affirm. As the last reply states:
After you do a factory reset on the AP devices, first you must delete the DEVICE and LOCATION in Insight before you try to reconnect them as an 'unclaimed device'!

Deleting the DEVICE and LOCATION and then rebuilding is what worked in my case. Other than the initial setup the system has been working great. The mesh reporting is kind of odd but fully functional. The Extender device many times doesn't show which Root device it's connected to, but the Root device does display the Extender as being connected. Hope it works out for you.
