Wireless clients not updating

Hi all,

In I sigh portal I am seeing wireless clients 'connected' I know have disconnected (no longer on site for several days), conversely I'm also not seeing new clients or renamed clients appearing.

Anyone know why this is and how to resolve?

Nothing we can do for now. When connecting again, new entries will be added 8-/ - the issue is related to the addition of wired devices to the list... I hope the list does not explose at some stage before Netgear does fix this issue in Insight RaghuHR

I'm still seeing clients I know aren't on-site (for some weeks now) on the "connected clients" list, these are all clients that had only been connected via WiFi (I don't have insight managed switches anyway).

There's also significant delay in client details updating in the insight management portal (e.g. associated AP, radio, RSSI etc.).  This makes troubleshooting challenging resulting in fall-back to the local AP interface for information.

If anyone at Netgear is willing to comment it would be interesting to know what the update frequency is from APs to insight; and what updates are "ignored" (e.g. I know of one instance where a client roamed from AP2 to AP1, then back from AP1 to AP2 which is visible in the local AP managment interfaces but NOT in insight cloud).

There must be two different factors or processes - one is the number of clients shown e.g. in the summary > wireless clients graph, the number of clients (numerically) by device - also in the Insight v6 update from this weekend and on the new (nice) topology view, the other is the handling of the detailed connected and disconnected client list handling.

Something on the connected clients garbage collection handling (cleaning no longer active) and disconnected clients seems to go wrong.

Netgear has these minutes promised looking again into this discrepancy, thank goes to for the informative chat YeZ .
