Hello MaydmedoIT_69 and welcome to the Netgear Community.
Experiencing a similar issue on a smaller model, a M4250-8G2XF-PoE+ on an SFP+ slot accommodating an original Netgear AXM765v2 for many months.

13.0.5.26 <-- same issue on earlier firmware version

The slot #10 looks workable, initially allowed to be operated as the trunk. Everything looks correct. Had to switch the trunk to a 1 GbE port instead...
Fun fact? Another no-name module (1G/10G capable) in slot #9 connecting a local PC with a 1 GbE adapter on a 2 meter cable works flawless.
I know I am not alone because I have read many different threads online with the same type of complaint.
Have not spotted the related threads, admit I had not searched deep enough. Would you mind sharing some links please?

Sorry for not responding sooner as I don't log in frequently.
I see that you mentioned that a PC connected to the adapter worked flawless. I thought at one time I had the same result from my laptop adapter but that had been a few weeks prior and do not recall exactly what all I had done.
What I did discover is that a different device with a gigabit port would connect with no issue and maintained that connection without further issue. The parts that I found strange are that a Dante port of an amplifier would not connect but the connection with a Epiphan recording device would connect. The Dante port will be a gigabit connection and I assumed it would work(Iwas wrong) and works no problem on one of the other standard ports.
The compatibility of the device connected to the GBIC adapter is what is not completely understood. As a trunk port from one switch to another is understandable.
I do not recall exactly where I had read of some others experiencing the similar issue. I might have found threads on Redit.
