Question M4250-8G2XF-PoE+ with AXM761 extend range

Switch: M4250-8G2XF-PoE+
SFP+: AXM761 10GB MM
If I have trouble with fiber length (may be there is more than 550 Meters OM4 Multimode), would a bandwidth limitation on that port help?
Can I even reduce maximum bandwidth on a sfp+ port?
