LAN to LAN communication, Orbi Pro

Hi!

Considering replacing the current setup for our company (separate firewall and wifi-access points) with an orbi pro setup, as i now see that the orbi pro fulfills most of my needs for our complete network setup.

I want to separate the servers from the clients in separate subnets, as the servers are accessible from the internet.
But i also need to make some traffic go from the clients to the servers, but not the other way around.
I my current firewall, i do this using firewall rules and custom services.
It would also be nice to filter port forwarding on the senders IP-adress, so that you can allow traffic from specific IP-adresses.

Is this supported in the orbi pro setup, or do i need to go for a more professional firewall?

Best regards
Hakon.

    hakonherskedal,

    Welcome to the community! 🙂

Port forwarding is supported on the SXR30.  As reference, kindly read pages 200 to 205 of the SXK30 user manual here.

    • Thank you! I already studied the user manual.

Port mapping is one thing, but the orbi doesn't seem to have a way to filter the port mappings based on incoming IP-address.
That leaves it pretty useless for me.
