Orbi Pro srr60 local dns to windows server?
Typically for every router we setup we like to have the router be the DHCP server but our local Windows server as the DNS server. I have looked all over this Orbi pro srr60 and talked to support and I see no place to tell the orbi to make our local server IP the DNS server. From what I have read in a bit of research it seems that if DHCP is on the so too does the orbi force itself as DNS
If this is true then it is going to cause issues for workstations properly talking with the server, we already had mapped drives be an issue until I manually set their local DNS to the server and rebooted but this is not a long term option.
Is my only option to setup DHCP on our server and turn it off completely on the orbi?
For DHCP clients: Advanced -> Setup -> LAN Setup -> Use Preferred DNS server(s)
For the router itself: Advanced -> Setup -> Internet Setup -> Domain Name Server (DNS) -> Use These DNS Servers
