SRR60 Wireless backhaul configuration

I just got a second hand SRR60 plus three SRS60 mesh system.

Reading the documentation it seems that the wireless backhaul runs in the 1733Mbps band instead of the 866Mbps band.

I wanted to know if this can be changed?

Can I run the backhaul on the slower band and use the faster band for wifi devices?

What advantage would you expect of using the 4x4 for the wireless clients, considering there is more than one wireless client and probably even more Ethernet wired devices on the mesh (router and satellites) on multiple mesh devices, which want to make use of the the wireless mesh backhaul on a much more limited mesh connection?

Last but not least, think about that the majority of (mobile) wireless clients don't have more than 2x2 radios.

There are many reasons why Netgear has set this design in place for the wireless mesh backhaul.

No. You can't swap the backhaul/fronthaul.

I've asked the same before for those using a wired backhaul so they have the option of using the 4x4 backhaul as fronthaul.

  • Thank you for the response guys.

One final question, what is this sync option in the satellites and why was disabled by default?
