SXR80 - Separate WiFi networks from WAN and LAN ports?

I currently have "Open" and "Secure" wifi networks, where the open one is a Netgear router connected to the modem, while the secure one is an AP connected to the LAN side of our firewall, which is connected to the modem.

Can I setup the SXR80 so that WAN port is connected directly to the modem, and provides the "Open" wifi network, functioning as a router. And the use a LAN port to connect as an AP to the private network, and create the "Secure" wifi network. With each network isolated from the other?

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the community!

Based on your description for the new setup, I assume you have a modem, a NETGEAR router (SXR80), and an AP.

If that's right, then you can connect the SXR80's WAN port to the modem and connect the SXR80's LAN port to the AP.

As for the network isolation, you can set the SXR80's Wireless network or its LAN ports to a VLAN for data separation.

You may check this KB article on how to configure VLANs for the SXR80.
