Having all kinds of problems with my 8 month old rbr760 and my 3 month old cm 3000 modem.

What problems are you having on the CM modem and Orbi system? Need more details here. 

You can set up any Orbi system with out having Armor. Just factory reset the RBR and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser:

If Armor is disabled, then it's disabled. Or enabled. It's apart of FW and can't be removed. 

For the CM modem:

Which ISP are you connected with? 

What Firmware version is currently loaded?

On the Orbi system:

Is IPv6 enabled or disabled? 

Using ISP detected DNS or custom DNS?
