Device Manager Nighthawk App

My device manager on the Nighthawk app suddenly looks different. It now has a profile named "home" and my custom names for devices are not there. And it says my parental controls can't be deleted. I never set them up. I don't even have kids! Unless I do a factory reset, is there a way to fix this?

    Which app? iOS or Android?

    Which app version?

Is this a local Connected Locally or Anywhere Access.

And the router's firmware version? Apps and firmware are intimately tied together.

Just another user with time on their hands.

        Anywhere Access or Connected Locally?

  • I too have the same issue and reported it to Netgear support with no help

The "Home" profile now shows every device that was ever connected (116 devices)

But I only have 10 connected devices. So I tried deleting stale devices for the list and it basically locks up the app.

This all started after they added the parental controls to the app....

I back dated my router firmware to the previous version and everything was back to normal. But Netgear in all their wisdom does an "auto update" which you can't stop on my model router. So the next day I am back with the same problem.

    App is current version

Firmware on router is current version

So the problem gets worse because the new profile shown in white will not let you manage device list so security goes from 96 to 46....and Netgear does not seem to care

Here's what the app does if you try and clean up device list.

Notice the security rating on the second image after I deleted "unknown devices" from list

Yes, I'm trying to get back to this screen but can't. Says I have a "home" profile and parental controls that I never set up.
