Genie and Windows 10

There are tons of discussions talking about this. I WAS using a really old HP pavillion running on windows vist and it worked properly, but as of right now I am using a Dell XPS with windows 10 and it does not work at all.  I've looked at all of the options that other people have tried.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled

I tried to troubleshoot the program

I tried to change the compatibility on the "properties" list

If the info is needed, I have a Netgear nighthawk AC1900 model R7000

I have seen suggestions about trying an older version of the Netgear Genie.
