Genie app not logging in on iPhone and iPad.

Hello.  I just bought THe Nighthawk X6 AC3200 (R8000) router.  After having trouble setting it up, I finally got it up and running.  Set a new admin password and have been able to log in using routerlogin.net on my Mac.  But I keep getting the following message when I try to log into the Genie app on my iphone and ipad running iOS 10.3: "NETGEAR router is not found or is not supported.  Also make sure the device is not connected to the guest network of the router, and no IPv6 is enabled."  Again, I'm able to log in without a problem using web browser, just happening on iphone and ipad.  I have deleted and reinstalled the app serveral times.  I appreciate any help.  Thank you.

It is bust. Lots of people have exactly that problem. Netgear doesn't seem to be able to fix it.

The app might work if you tell it to use the IP address that you feed in.

I hasten to add that my experience is with the Android app, but it may also work ion iStuff.

    Hi figgy15,

Please make sure you have the latest firmware version (1.0.3.48) installed on the router.

have the same problem. After reading some other posts, it was mention that restoring the router to factory settings would work.

I can confirm that after restoring the default factory settings (admin/password) the app either on iPhone or iPad will connect to the router with default login credentials.

but we all understand why keeping those is very absurd and full of non sense.

The app is broken and it's obviously not on their "to do" list...

Which is why I have deleted the app and work exclusively on the web page (192.168.1.1)

    with my own login credentials.

We all understand that been up to date on the firmware is crossing out a possible cause of error, but in this case, updating the firmware will not make this app connect to our router...
