MyNighthawk App for my R7000P Cannot Detect my Wifi and Cannot find my Login Page on my MacBook

Recently I noticed that downloading pages and opening links on my iPhone 12 and MacBook have been very slow.

My iPhone Nighthawk App indicates it cannot detect my WiFi Network even though it is running.  I get the same message from other Apps.

I cannot find the login page for my Router on my MacBook.

I have unplugged my modem and router and it does not help.  The lights on the Router are all on.  I have an Ethernet Connection to my Mac and the Modem is connected to the router with an ethernet cable."

Speed tests are fine.

Is it just the iPhone that can't connect? What about other wifi clients?

I cannot find the login page for my Router on my MacBook.

What does that mean? You don't know what the login page is? You try to connect and it won't let you in?

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

    • Turn off and unplug modem.
    • Turn off router and computers.
    • Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
    • Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
    • Turn on computers and rest of network.

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Nighthawk Wi-Fi 5 (AC) Routers - NETGEAR Communities

You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Thank you.  Following that sequence got my App connected again, as well as other apps that were indicating there was no Wifi connection.

Could you advise how I access my Router Admin Page?   I used to have it on my Mac, but can no longer see it.

I find it easier to monitor the router that way and it contains more information.

      Thanks again,  Jim

Another question, what is the modem that sits between you router and the internet?

I started following the instructions to reset to the factory settings. Now I have a Netgear Wifi name that doesn’t connect me to anything.

I cannot even locate my own network Wifi. It is no longer recognized.

      I have an Arris modem.

How can I retrieve my regular network?

The default WiFi SSID name and PW is just what any device can connect to the router system to get it setup. After you connect your mobile device to this SSID name and PW, if you open the NH app, select Setup UP new router option, this should take you thru the setup process and complete it. You can change the SSID name and PW during the setup process here or just leave it as default then complete the setup routine. Once completed, log into the routers WEB page UI and you can change the SSID name and passwhere here using a PC and Web browser.

There a model# of the Arris modem?

Have you recently updated the software on your iPhone 12 and MacBook? I ask this because I've been experiencing slow internet speeds and WiFi connectivity issues on my devices after a recent software update, and I'm wondering if that could be the cause of the problem.

Please make a new post regarding what your having problems with and post in the appropriate forum section for the NG product your using. The user has not been online since they posted last so may not get any response.
