Nighthawk App Cannot Find Router
Hey everyone!
I connected a Nighthawk AX6 Wifi Router (Model RAX45) to a Century Link modem. Internet is working just fine but I can't change the SSID or password.
Netgear says the best way to change the SSID and password is through their app. I have downloaded the Nighthawk app but the app is unable to find my router. I have confirmed that my cell phone is actually connected to the router and the internet is working. I turned off data to confirm the internet was in fact connecting to the router. Still not able to find the router.
Another option provided by Netgear is to go to http://routerlogin.net and enter the router's default username and password. When I navigate to that web address it tells me that to gain access my device must be connected to the router or access point's WiFi network. Again, I am already connected to the router and using the internet provided through it.
I have also tried going straight to the router's IP address and updating through there. http://192.168.0.1 takes me to the admin page for my CenturyLink modem and http://192.168.1.1 fails to load a page.
I don't know what to try next so any tip/tricks are appreciated!
Thanks!

Which Century Link modem?
Is it a modem/router by any chance?

For many people it is the best way to manage thing. Apps are the devil's plaything.
The easiest way in is with a PC wired to one of the router's LAN ports. Then use that address or http://192.168.1.1.
It is in the manual:
Manuals are always a good place to start.
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
That page will also have any software, firmware and drivers for your device, if they exist.
Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide. If you're on iOS make sure to disable icloud relay and private mac/ip address. that can mess up the app connection
