Nighthawk App not supporting D7800
Hi
I tried nighthawk app today but got a message D7800 is not supported. See attached screenshot.
Am i missing something? D7800 works fine with genie. I just wanted to switch to nighthawk app.

D7800 works fine with genie.That's why the Nighthawk app does not work. You need new firmware on the D7800 to that to work. Get that and it kills the Genie.

Notice the lack of any DSL modem/routers in there.
If you are lucky, Netgear will not update your firmware. The Genie app is generally reckoned to be a lot better than the Nighthawk app, which kills some useful features.
Why do you want to make the switch?
- I thought to switch because Netgear no longet updates genie. I received an email from Netgear to switch to Nighthawk app.

There is no point in trying to use an app if it does not support your hardware.
Netgear may not update the genie, but it works now.
Apps are tied to firmware. If Netgear updates your firmware, you may be able to switch to the Nighthawk app.
But we still do not know what you actually want to use an app to do.
