Nighthawk r7800, 2600 Phonr App cannot find the router

Question

I have a Nighthawk R7800 A.C. 2600. I have hooked it up and everything seems to work correctly. But everything I have tried in order to get the Android App to work has failed.

No matter what I do I cannot get App to detect the router

Can anyone help me with this. I have followed the user guide on netgear.com for it but nothing I do has help.

what modem/gateway is it connected to?&nbsp;
are you able to access it using its IP address?

THe modem is Comcast Xfinity. I dont know what you mean by gateway. What exactly do you mean by gateway.&nbsp;Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.&nbsp;&nbsp;

That "modem" is a modem/router combo device. It causes a double nat.&nbsp;
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NATFixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1. 1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions. 2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions.
