nighthawk router with existing ruckus zonedirector
hello, i have been asked to arrange parental controls for a very large home. previously they had a pfsense box connected to a ruckus zd1200 which controls the 8 access points and created two vlan...

Hi dangermaus,
1. Yes, you can connect the Ruckus but the NETGEAR Genie was tested to work only within the router's subnet which means it may not be able to detect the devices that connect to the 2 VLAN's of the Ruckus. Not seeing the devices in the Network Map will not allow you to set per device filtering levels.
2. Please see first answer. Per device filtering will only be accessible if the device/s shows up on the Network Map. However, the default/universal filtering level may apply to the rest of the connected devices.
3. It is difficult to guarantee coverage since different network environments yield different results.

thank you for your response.
if i only create one subnet theni should be able to see all the devices...is there any way to get a home demonstration or would i be able to return the router if this method doesnt work.
dont think i will be looked upon too kindly if i buy a £400 router which doesnt do what i hope it can...or if he doesnt like the interface?? is there an online demo i can use to test the user interface?

Hi dangermaus,
We do not have an online simulator for the latest router UI's. However, you can check the device user manual via our support site linked below.
