We have a NightHawk R7000. our HP laptop, Win10, my printer shows in the NETGEAR USB Control Center but not when I go to print (Word, Excel, PDF, etc.) Any thoughts? Lorea

Can you print with the device connected to a USB port on the PC? I ask because the same thing came up here recently: Re: WNDR4300V2 Router recognizes the HP printer bu... - NETGEAR Communities If the printer won't work on a PC, it won't work on a router.

Yes, it works fine... It actually works on 2 other HP laptops, just not mine. thx for the help. Lorena

I'm having the same issue along with my Nest losing wireless connectivity. I do use access control which i turned off with no difference. What I have noticed though is under access control those two devices (Printer/Nest) don't have an IP address. I have assigned a static address to it and that doesn't work either. I have upgraded to the latest firmware and completed a factory reset, manually setting it up and no change. Rebooting the router allowes it to connect for a short time. Wired/Wireless(w/SSID name) connections have no issues.

Hi MikeLorena, 1. If it is a network printer (connects via WiFi or Ethernet) then the USB Control Center is no longer required. 2. Please try re-installing the printer drivers on the computer that is experiencing the issue. Regards, Dexter Community Team

Did you install your new network printer on the Windows system?
Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners > : Add a printer or scanner
