Static IP Address
I have a wifi IP camera that has been assigned a static IP address of 192.168.1.106, based on its MAC address.
The range for the "Use Router as DHCP Server" is set to be from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.15.
Using the network mapping feature of Netgear Genie, I can determine the realtime IP address being assigned to this camera.
It changes every few seconds from the desired 192.168.1.106 IP adress to an irrelevent 192.168.1.12 IP address, which causes connectivity loss. The latter undesirable IP address is in the range of the "Use Router as DHCP Server" feature.
The firmware version is V1.0.0.52_1.0.81.
Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?
Thank you.

The model did not seem to be uploaded in the above post.
The model is Netgear Router Model WNDR3400v2.
Thanks.

Have thought about using address reservations?

That is the point of my post.
I am using address reservations.
I have reserved 192.168.1.106 for the IP camera.
However, this IP address is not being applied continuously to the camera by the router.
