Unable to Connect To Router R7000
Hi
Trying to reconnect the Nighthawk from an Apple iPhone and had some success yesterday but I am now unable to connect. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and I know the password I am using is correct as I can access it through a web browser on my laptop. I've switched off Private Wi-Fi address but this has no impact.
It comes up with an error about the request timing out.
Guess I won't be buying the Armor subscription if I can't get it working!
Any ideas?
From a frustrated Netgear user!

Is it just the iPhone that won't connect? What about other wifi clients? That would help to rule put the iPhone.
I've switched off Private Wi-Fi address but this has no impact. Is that the Wi-Fi address on the router or the incredible "Private IP address"?

Then the usual boilerplate questions.
What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". There may be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
If there is one it might also help if you told people the make and model number of the modem/gateway/ONT that sits between this router and the Internet. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
I ask because a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.I tried the incredible iPhone Private IP Address following the instructions on the link you posted.
Firmware Version V1.0.11.136_10.2.120
The router connects to a 'modem'.
Used to work many moons ago and did work over the weekend once but since then unable to connect. Have rebooted phone and router several times but no joy.
Router logs show [WLAN access rejected: incorrect security] from MAC XXXXXXXX although the correct password is input. Have I missed a setting on the router to allow access?

What is that modem?
It isn't clear to me what you are doing. You said earlier:

What did you do?
What is "the Nighthawk"? The R7000? The iPhone app? The wifi from the R7000?
Have you set up Anywhere Access on the iPhone app?
