Can't get Meural online

I successfully reset my Meural Canvas 2nd generation but it restarts saying:

To get set up

Follow these steps

First get Meural App (done)

Open Meural App and login (done)

=======

But the App asks me to use swipe gestures and the Canvas is not responding to them, probably because it's not set up.

Basically the App assumes the Canvas is online and the Canvas expects to be set up with the App which seems to require it being online.

Any suggestions.

    Hello lechner,

    Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

    Please ensure that your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you designated for your Meural during the initial setup. To verify this navigate to settings to check the online status of your Meural. It will show as disconnected if you are not connected to the correct network.

    Best,
    Kevin

    successfully reset

    Isn't there supposed to be a step where the Meural device is linked to the 'app'?

    (such as connect to the Meural device and communicate the WiFi SSID/password it should use?)

  • No progress yet. The router has changed but the network name and password are the same. When I restart the Meural it doesn't respond to waves at either sensor. So I can't get to a menu to restart the WiFi. I've tried connecting directly to the network on the Meural and that name shouldn't have changed. But however I try it requires that the Meural respond so I can get to the WiFi menu. I'm thinking I should remove it from the Meural App and try and start from scratch. But it seems like the panel has to allow me to get to the menus for any chance of getting it set up.

  • I was able to solve the problem by telling the App to forget the panel. While still didn't get a QR code on restart I could enter the panel product key and get it online that way. That's when you connect directly to the panel to get it set up. Of course that didn't work with a known panel but did with a "new" panel. Thanks for the suggestions.
