MR60/MS60 slow wifi and wired backhaul issue

Topology -

Motorola SurfBoard (Spectrum ISP) > Netgate SG-2100 > Netgear GS108Tv3 > several unmanaged switches and my devices, including the MR60 in AP mode, and the MS60 as a satellite.

Firmware - SG-2100 is up to date.

GS108T using 7.09.11

MR60/MS60 using 1.1.7.134_2.0.65

Complaint - Wifi speeds on mobile devices are unacceptably slow. ISP provides ~350/20, my devices on wifi get nowhere near that, testing variably from 1mbps to 100, generally about 50.

Wiring is all cat6. The home is about 2000sqft, MR60 is upstairs and satellite is in the basement. GS108T reports loopback issues on the port that feeds the MR60. In Connected Devices, the MS60 shows the connection type as 5GHz despite being wired in star topology. The Backhaul Status is "good". I suspect the issue is in the management features of this switch, which is a newer addition to the network, but I am unsure where to look in that software. I did make sure that Green Ethernet was turned off.

I know this is a community forum, so I will admit to wide swaths of ignorance here. I am no expert. I feel like Netgear products should play nicely. My downline simple switches are Netgear GS105, so those shouldn't be adding anything to the mess. The "problem", besides PEBKAC, is in either the MR60/MS60, the GS108T, or all of the above.

I expect the MR60 to provide speeds close to what I get from the ISP. Getting 1/7 of that speed, there has to be something wrong. If it is me, I am happy to change.

ETA - I cannot add the MR60 as an associated product. It isn't that old folks...

    Wired, yes. Wifi, no.

In your shoes I would try to sort out what looks like a rat's nest of a network.

Ok Michael, let's dive into your response a little -

      1. I am not expecting the AP to provide faster speed than a wired connection. The capabilities of the device and the Wifi6 spec are pretty clear that I should be getting better speeds than what I currently do.

      2.  In my shoes, rat's nest? What exactly is a rat's nest about my setup? I have wifi provided by the Nighthawk Mesh, my router is rock solid modern pfSense appliance. Like many people, I have little stars happening at my media center, my office, and the NAS, with simple switches feeding the devices. Everything is wired except for mobile devices. So, if having a Netgear managed switch in front of Netgear devices that are advertised as being AP capable, then absolutely shame on me for this rat's nest.

Really,  your post is the opposite of helpful and does not make you look at all like an expert. Thanks for the response, and if you care to clarify what exactly is a rat's nest here that would be great.

        I'd start back simple.

Connect the MR60 directly to the primary router.

Make sure the MR60's internet connection is into the wan port. then connect the switches afterwards and the satellites to the MR60's lan port.

        so go:

        primary router----> wan port MR60--->lan port mr60---->switches/satellites.
