I'm at the end of my rope. I'm a grandma and not a techie. My mesh system has 3 original pieces and two more that I added on. All was working just fine for months until recently the two that I added on stopped. The amber light was showing. I tried to re-sync the units but did not work. I checked for firmware updates but when I open the window on my computer the two satelites that are not working do not appear on the list, so I can't see if they need firmware update or not.
I rebooted the router and now one of the satellites does not appear on the list at all. I'm guessing that is because I did not have it plugged in at the time. I have tried to re-install satellite, but light ends up amber at the end of the process.
I don't know what else to do. Please help.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?Try powering OFF the MR and MS for 1 minute then back ON.
Bring the MS to same room as the MR router and try to sync them one at a time near the MR router.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the NightHawk MESH products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Nighthawk MESH (WiFi6 MK Series) products. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

the satellites that are red, hardwire them into the router and sync them that router. Then check their firmware, you see issues a lot of time where they're on different firmware versions.

Any progress on this?
