Connecting the expressvpn aircove to my netgear xr700 possibe??
Trying to connect my Comcast router in bridge mode to my Netgear router and My new Expressvpn Aircove
I was wondering is it possible since i already set up rules for my netgear for port forwarding (gaming /work pc).
I assume
1 comcast -vpn router-Netgear router
2 comcast-netgear--expressvpn which didn't work for me.
Please help

Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.

Try option #2 first...Thank's for the in took 2 weeks of trying to figure out when my called express support. Which they said comast-netgear-aircove that didn't work at all I finally figured out that I need to separate the 2 computers all together. comcast - aircove - work pc, aircov second port ethernet connected to my netgear but setup as novpn grouping so it dosen't block port forwarding for my games . So far working great. Thanks again.
- Probably best to go with the first setup so you can put the XR in the VPN, your ping will increase using a VPN and you'll be unlikely to get an OpenNAT as well.
