Netgear Night Hawk XR700 wired connection speed issues

Hello everyone.  Just purchased the new Netgear Nigh Hawk XR700 Gaming router and am using with with my Xfinity Internet service on 200 Mbps connection and a Motorola MB8600 Modem.  I'm using the latest Dumas OS firmware version XR700 V1.0.1.20.  Running Windows 10 Pro on desktop computer.

The router is giving me good wifi speed connections with speed test on Night Hawk android app giving me 237.52 Mbps download and 11.91 Upload speeds.

My issue is with the wired connection internet speeds on my desktop.  Desktop is giving me no more than 90 Mpbs + Downloads and about  10 Mbps Upload.  Not worried about uploads speeds but I thought my Dowload speeds would be better than what I'm getting now. I've been thru every setting and noticed that when I enabled IPV6, my speeds would slow down significantly ( 5 - 10 Mbps Download).  Did some more changes with IPV6 on and got it up, but not to what I expected.

Would appreciate any suggestions or assitance with my settings to improve my download speeds.  At the moment, only have kids connecting their Playstation 4 wirelessly for gaming.  Set up Geo-Filter but not the QoS at the moment.

Thanks

PS I did reset my router when I upgraded the firmware on first time connection.

    1. is the desktop ethernet gigabit? and have you checked in its device manager to ensure its running gigabit?

    2. have you checked the cables? a bad cable can drop you from gigabit to 10/100mbps.

    3. do you have another hardwired device you can test the speeds with to ensure it isn't a device specific issue?

Thanks for responding.   Yes, I have a gigabit ethernet card on desktop.  I checked and it is running at gigabit connection speed.  Also, I've  and changed and tried different ethernet cables.

What I did find out and I'd had this issue before, I'm running Trend Micro Internet Security program.   If I turn it off, my speeds jump up to 130 Mpbs + download speeds on test.   Seems Trend Micro inteferes someway with download speeds when it running.  I haven't had any luck getting Trend Micro to address this issue previously.

So now that I've at least gotten my download speeds up, are there any specific settings I need to look at for wired connections on this router?  I have set my default providers IPV4 & IPV6 DNS to Google DNS servers which seemed to have helped a bit.  Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

      Thanks
