Netgear XR1000 - USB drive/Readyshare connectivity issue
Hi,
I have a "seagate 2TB ultra touch portable" hard drive that I tried to connect to the XR1000 router to use the readySHARE functionality. However, the router is not detecting the drive connected to the 3.0 usb port. When I try to follow the steps per the user manual, the readySHARE link is not detected by the computer when using the Run function in windows.
I accessed the USB setting by connecting to the router via DUMA OS portal and it says that no disk detected eventhough the hard drive is connected and there is a light indicating on the hard drive that it is connected.
Am I missing a step here or is this not going to work?

Thanks for moving your post over here.
Do you know the part/model number of your drive? Netgear have a compatibility list here you could check it against to make sure it's compatible: https://kb.netgear.com/18985/Will-my-USB-drive-work-with-ReadySHARE
- ishrakimrozeAspirantThanks for responding, my drive is called a Seagate Ultra Touch Portable Drive. Model No:STHH1000402. Note product link below:

I didn't see the XR1000 routwr in the link you shared, I checked the XR500 as the closes reference and didn't find this drive there unfortunately.- ishrakimrozeAspirantModel No - STHH1000402 ****
