Netgear XR500 intermittent connection
I have recently moved to a property that has PPPOE broadband. I originally made a custom size CAT6 cable to route to my office with the router staying close to the modem. However since installation there's been nothing but internet issues. I can do a speed test on a browser (after it loads), it takes a few minutes to complete and says I'm receiving the speeds I pay for (900mbps UP/DOWN). Rarely does a webpage load first time on my PC (hardwired). I have tested the cable and its fine however changed to a different cable and the issue persists. I am curious if my router just isn't up to spec anymore however I'd rather not fault find by just spending money on new gear. Also wifi range is very poor. Not normal for when I last used the router a few years ago.
Router Reset, Up to date firmware, CAT6 Cable change.
