Netgear XR500 Speed slower than Modem
Hi I recently purchased a Netgear XR500. When I set up my internet at first boot, it is able to detect my full speeds (300/15). After connecting to it via Wifi, I found that the speed on my XR500 (150/17) is actually slower than the Modem (296/17). I do not have any devices which are wired anymore (all Apple devices).
I have already performed the following steps based on what was recommended online:
- Disabled QOS, reset distribution for Upload & Download, and share excess for Upload & Download.
- Disabled IPV6
- Disabled 20/40MHz coexistence
- Disabled Smart Connect, and also ensured that my Ethernet cable is Cat.5e (supplied in the XR500 Box).
Any other tips on how to improve this further (without a wired connection)?

- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerThere may be quite a few WiFi networks in your area so use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channels and change to those. Also ensure there are no electrical devices within the proximity of the router as that could interfere with the signal.

No I don't think there are any interferences. It is sitting right in the middle of the home, on the top shelf in an open space. There are no electronic devices in the vicinity, besides the Modem that is around 50cm away from the Router. I have tried switching the channel to a different one but no improvements.
