XR1000 Network lag issue got in game restrictions
Hello,
Since few months I have been facing some lagging issues and connectivity issues with online gaming on console and pc, so I want playing more on my console series Xbox series X. Recently I got in game restrictions on the game Destiny 2 due to network issues technically I can’t anymore that game ans also in EA FC 24 I’m getting matchmade against high latency players even though I have good connection and also having heavy lag in COD games also.
So my ingame restrictions were true, the issue is coming from my so I got a console from a friend till facing lagging issues, recheck ISP router interference nothing has changed since the beginning now I have checked port forwarding on netgear web interface everything seems right.
Btw, I’m from France living in Paris, my ISP is SFR (they don’t have router function inbuilt on their device) that’s why I bought XR1000 before few years.
My internet setup from ISP go to Netgear XR1000 come to TPLink Gigabit switch (TL-SG108 non administrable) which connects to allow the devices.
Netgear version :XR1000 1.0.0.64_1.0.49
Can you please kindly guide and help me to fix this network issues ? Thank you.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.By the looks of the xbox configuration, the XR router is using a non default IP address pool, i.e. 10.0.0.x. Means that the default 192.168.1.1 has detected a conflict as the ISP modem or ONT already has a built in router. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.

Try option #2 first...- eric22Aspirant
HI,
Thank you for the reply, before few years when i bought XR1000 i had NAT strict with my xbox series x even with proper port forwarding so someone on this forum asked me to do this which resulted in in Nat open status.
This is what i did as described below :
Access the XR1000 Interface
Go to the System Information page
Find "WAN IP" in the center of the page
Copy the IP
Access the SFR Interface
Paste into IPv4 DMZ
Disable IPv6 DMZ
Btw as you said i can't access netgear OS by 192.168.1.1, its because my SFR Box (ISP) address is 192.168.1.1
Thats why my xbox has 10.0.0.x.

- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerYou're not utilizing Congestion Control which is the feature that would help most in this situation. Switch it to Always or Auto and put the percentages to 70% for download and upload and see if it improves.
