XR300 - Virgin Super Hub - PS4 Ping
Hi,
Having had NAT issues with multiple consoles in the house as the wife and I game on PS4 together I decided to upgrade to the XR300. I connected it to my Superhub in modem mode, set everything up and its working and as fast as it was but I can no longer get into any sub 42ms lobbies in Call of Duty MW ‘19.
It used to cycled through <24ms, <42ms and I would get into one of those. Now it jumps straight to looking at <42ms first which it never finds a game in and go straight to <58ms. Not sure if it’s looked higher up but <58ms is the best I get.
This is obviously not great as it’s worse than what I’ve had previously. In game ping was c. 30ms now its no better than c. 50-60ms.
I am in Edinburgh, Scotland so It should connect to the London dedicated server. I’ve added both PS4s to geo filter with a huge radius covering all of Europe or smaller covering just Western Europe and I’ve tried it with it off as well.
Does anyone know what’s happening or if there are any other settings I can change.

- Set your radius to just the UK and put ping assist to 30 ms. That should help you get the lowest ping servers even if they're mislocated on the map.
- That’s been one of the things I have tried with no success.
I've read another similar post where the solution was the change the MAC address to the old router. The issue I have here is that I did not have an old router as I was using the built in router with the Virgin Super hub 3.
If I change to that MAC (the one on the bottom label) it can’t connect to the net.- That would be for speed so no need for that. Could you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing in the Geo-Filter when in a game please? Also what is the ping as shown by the Geo-Filter?
