XR300 cant get past bandwidth setup

Question

I'm trying to access DumaOS, I just bought xr300 and I cant get it to work. I set it up like an access point with a help of auto installation as I already have a Nighthawk 7800 as my main router and all I want is to be able to use geofiltering on my gaming pc. XR300 is only connect with ethernet cable to it, now when I'm trying to go to the XR300's page it makes me set it up again and to set up my internet speed. When there it finds download as 1000 Mbit and upload as 0.5 Mbit, its obviously wrong as my speeds are 500 Mbit both upload and download. I've tried with all numbers it just keep saying failure and putting me back to speedtest, I cant get past it.

Please help!

Using the router in AP mode means that DumaOS features including the Geo-Filter are disabled. This is likely why you're having trouble setting up as well as the router doesn't need to know your bandwidth speeds in AP mode. Set it up as a router and it should work.

No, it wouldn't work as a bridge as it would have to be bridged to something. You can have it set as the normal router mode, put the XR300 WAN IP in the DMZ of the Nighthawk and that will prevent a double NAT for the device you use with the Geo-Filter. Can also turn of the XR WiFi if you prefer.
