XR500 Connection Issues
I have the XR500 Gaming Router and after 5 months it has stopped functioning properly. I am outside the 90 day window to have it replaced. I have been prompted to purchase a 50.00 plan to see what may be going wrong with the router. Not to fix it, but to check for the issue. My question for the community is: who owns a gaming router than lasted longer than 5 months? If I am going to purchase a new router today I would like to go with a model that is a bit more reliable. Thanks!

Agree with Netduma-Fraser what exact issue are you having? many times its fixable but not without more info.
1. What is the issue (in detail since we aren't there)?
2. What gateway/modem is it connected to?
3. What firmware is it on?
4. What are the led's on it doing?

I have a case number if you would like to look up details.
I can hard wire to my router and I get intermittent internet and connectivity issues. I connect to WiFi and it is even worse. I drop frames when streaming and experience disconnect. Also my wifi is slow on other devices sitting even in the same room with the router. Spectrum indicated that my connection and modem is working properly that it is a router issue. They pointed me to contact netgear. My setup was functioning perfectly up until this past weekend. This is not a new setup. I purchased the router on January 29th.
It is connected to the modem that Spectrum provides.
Per the dashboard my firmware version is V2.3.2.56
The LED’s are all white. Power is solid white. The rest are blinking white.I refuse to believe that 1. Netgear only provides a 90 day warranty 2. That this expensive quality brand router lasted less than 6 months. This is very disappointing.

That is always their "go to" response because they have to pay to send a tech to check a line and it costs $. They've went so far as to lock down their modem's diagnostic page so users can't view the signal coming into their home. They pointed me to contact netgear. Aka moving a modem/router, changing settings, updating firmware, etc This is not a new setup. I purchased the router on January 29th.

If it was new, you usually have a year (or more in some areas) for the hardware warranty.
From the sounds of it, spectrum is blaming the router. And its hard to prove its the modem or line with how well spectrum locks down their equipment. What you can try doing? Hardwire a device into the modem directly. then use if for a day/couple days/however long it would normally take to have issues. If its still having the issues directly connected, then its not the router.

I also have problems with xr500, you have to wait for 3.0 software, how the software sucks, I'm going to ASUS
ROG Rapture GT-AX11000
- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerIn Internet Setup switch to static. In LAN Settings give devices reserved IPs. For WiFi disable Smart Connect if enabled and use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channels and then change to that for both 2.4/5GHz. Do you see any improvements then?
